It’s back-to-school time, the backpacks are heavy, the kids are excited and the teachers are putting the final touches on their lesson plans as they prepare to serve our children in a most important way: feeding their minds.
We at Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina know that this important charge given to teachers cannot be fully actualized unless we also feed those children’s bodies. Children cannot learn on empty stomachs and cannot achieve their full academic potential if they are not properly nourished. Read more at:
